We are currently interviewing for Line Cooks! Please respond to this ad with your resume or come by and fill out an application between 2pm and 4pm at 1811 S Alamo St, San Antonio, Texas 78204. Potential for growth as this concept continues to grow in SA and around Texas!


As Line Cook, you will set up your workstations with the required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards. You will prepare and produce menu items for the restaurant following recipes and yield guides, and proper plate presentation and garnish for all dishes. Prep & Line Cooks also maintain the organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.


REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Ability to:

  • Be a clear thinker, remain calm, and resolve problems using good judgment.
  • Work well under the pressure of meeting production schedules and timeliness.
  • Maintain good coordination.
  • Use all senses to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Differentiate dates.
  • Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Provide legible written communication.
  • Do basic arithmetic.
  • Be a team player - need to be willing to lend a helping hand to any teammate at any time.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years' restaurant experience
  • Two years' experience in a food preparation position
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
  • Food Handler Certification


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship
  • Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish.
  • Sanitation certificate.
