The Position
The Home Lending Product Strategy and Delivery is searching for leader to join our leadership team focusing work on the ongoing coaching and maturity of our Product Strategy practice. This leader will partner closely with the Product Strategy Leads and Product Coaches to lead the coaching and maturity or Product Strategy practices through hands-on product management practices - Creating an environment of teaching and coaching through doing. The leader will work in support, partnership and leadership of various aspects of end to end portfolio and product management in a Scaled Agile Framework and will report to the Head of Home Lending Product Strategy and Delivery.
This leader will be responsible for a team of coaches who will partner alongside teams of product managers and product owners who leverage design thinking principles to achieve targeted business and customer outcomes. This leader will partner and collaborate with other leaders across Home Lending Lines of Business to ensure the business best serves customers and our line of business partners. The team will provide the teams with coaching business and product strategy/ product delivery of significant risk, complexity, scope, and financial impact for a product or journey area or a combination of small diverse functional areas.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and establish priorities and drive accountability for assigned initiatives, providing leadership and coaching to ensure solutions are designed, integrated and controlled to optimize effectiveness, account for all aspects of risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Work with key internal and/or external partners, such as the Product Strategy Leads, Product Manager, Designer and Engineering to distill complex concepts into pragmatic and simplified/targeted solutions that solve for Customer and Business opportunities while optimizing the Customer experience.
  • Train, coach and build communities of practice to ensure product management practices, fellowship and discipline are high performing across Home Lending.
  • Develop and implement strategies against OKRs, roadmaps while paying attention to the voice of the customer and marketplace analytics, presenting key data points, opportunities and investment review presentations with key stakeholders and senior management within responsible area, including root cause, customer experience, expected outcomes cost/benefit, and risk analyses.
  • Provide direction, support and coaching to a cross functional team using business acumen and expertise.
  • Develop and manage industry partner product relationships.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and manages vendor relationships.
  • Manage product strategy relationships with executive business owners and technology owner.
  • Coordinate/negotiate overall strategy and objectives in conjunction with many diverse businesses and key business partners across WF.
  • Directly accountable for product performance and value recognition of technology investments.
  • Lead efforts to obtain and analyze customer/competitive information and market research related to development and testing of services/products; distribution strategies and innovations, end-to-end technical/systems and customer requirements, and performance measurement techniques; and managing enterprise-wide efforts to align and coordinate distribution channels, systems requirements, product introduction, marketing, training, and ongoing product/service management.
This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

Base salary range for this role is:
  • Min: $175,000
  • Mid: $250,000
  • Max: $375,000
Compensation package may include a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long-term incentives.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of product development and product management experience
  • 10+ years of management experience
