Duties
- Perform 100% inventory/inspection of an organizations assigned tool kits.
- Access the electronic systems to review, adjust and update receipts.
- Comply and stay abreast of all policies concerning the Tool and Equipment program.
- Perform administrative functions and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members, customers, and management officials.

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Applying knowledge and adaptability to tool program, tool kits, and administrative processes through the use of applying analytical techniques and decision regarding what needs to be done depends or issues involved in each assignment, and the chosen course of action may have to be selected from many alternatives. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

EDUCATION: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: An equivalent combination of successfully completed, qualifying education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. Specialized experience directly related to the work of the position may be used to meet the requirements of this position. Education in excess of 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement may be used to qualify applicants for the GS-09 level. NOTE: You must submit copies of your unofficial transcripts with your application if using education as a substitution of experience.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Detailed knowledge and understanding of management principles and practices and ability to apply this knowledge to all facets.
2. Knowledge of depot maintenance programs and policies, principles, practices, procedures, management policies, administration, supply program, directives, operating instructions, a variety of logistical and industrial management concepts and how they relate specifically to tools, inventories, and tool kits.
3. Knowledge and understanding of major issues, program goals, objectives of the tool program, and sequence and timing of operational events and milestones at the group, complex, and command levels; with the ability to communicate that information to managers, supervisors, and employees.
4. Skill in planning and conducting comprehensive inspection activities to affect the changes necessary to improve the maintenance and policy compliance.
5. Ability to effectively understand trend analysis to quantify inspection opportunities and risks.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
