Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Supplier Quality Director 1 to join the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division team. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support current and future division programs.

What you will get to do:

Responsible for Supplier Quality risk management. Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems. Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures. Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues. Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list. Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process. Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases. Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs. Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (Critical, Key and Standard), development and execution of supplier quality risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science degree in an engineering discipline.
15 years of experience with a BS Degree, or 13 years of experience with a Master's degree
5 years of experience with Supplier Quality Processes.
5 years of experience building relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
10 years of experience in problem-solving methodologies
Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters or PhD is preferred.
Experience in advanced statistical processes
Experience in S-APQP
Experience implementing source inspection
Experience ensuring proper supplier flow downs

Travel 25%

Salary Range: 151100 - 226700

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
