Are you passionate about helping families more deeply understand the value of Waterford Upstart? In this seasonal role, you will travel across Utah and host informational events that inspire families to register and participate in the Program.

Waterford is dedicated to developing accessible, high-quality learning programs for all children, regardless of background, means, location, or other circumstances! As an education nonprofit, we're passionate about universal literacy, family empowerment, and equity and access for all students.
Responsibilities include:

• Promoting the UPSTART program and recruiting families with four-year-old children to participate
• Attending community events around Utah specifically targeted to low-income families, rural families, and those with children who are English language learners
• Occasionally working from our Taylorsville office on various projects

Skills required include:

• Ability to effectively connect with parents, community leaders, business owners, religious leaders, media outlets, and children
• Experience gaining trust, nourishing relationships, listening attentively, and clearly articulating an intended message
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with phenomenal organizational skills and time management
• Can work independently and with a team
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Travel:

• Ability to travel often
• A valid drivers license and a clean driving record is required
• Hours and work schedule will vary depending on our events calendar
• Ability to work weekends and evening is required

We anticipate that this position will pay $13.00+ per hour, with travel expenses covered by Waterford. This is a part time position
