Job description

Business Development Specialist

(Structural Concrete, Vertical Construction, Industrial Warehouses)

Objective: Leverages industry connections and relationships to identify possible project work for one or more. Supports full project bid, negotiating contract with Owner and ultimately securing new work for the Company.

Duties

* Primarily responsible for maintenance of current customer base, soliciting new business, establishing and maintaining good relations with contractors, city and state purchasing employees and other customers.

* Describe, present and sell company products.

* Investigate new markets and products, researching project requirements and determine sales prospects for products.

* Work closely with production managers and construction estimators to determine customer requirements and coordinate product availability.

* Establish and quote prices for products and services.

* Monitor customer job progress and accuracy of account.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of a four (4) year degree is preferred

* 6-8 or more years experience selling market research products/services required

* Demonstrated success in construction industry or, expertise and experience in the commercial operations of a General Contractor/Structural Concrete Sub

* Proficiency working with Salesforce is a MUST

* Strong oral and written communication skills;

* High attention to detail

* Solid problem-solving skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

* Ability to prioritize and oversee complex projects and processes

* Ability to train and progress junior level team member(s)

* Proven organizational and relationship building skills

* Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
