The Sr. Manager, Global Payroll will lead, contribute, and learn in a dynamic HR/Payroll organization.

  • Lead a team of payroll professionals to connect tactical payroll activities to strategic HR and company goals
  • Develop opportunities to optimize payroll processes Company-wide
  • Provide payroll analytics and insights to HR and other Company-wide stakeholders
  • Champion global payroll compliance
  • Develop and improve the knowledge, skills and abilities of the payroll team
Essential Functions
  • Oversee the processing of payroll for employees in all countries
  • Verify international payroll calculations for accuracy
  • Serve on various cross functional teams providing payroll guidance on taxation and other issues
  • Operate as a subject matter expert in maintaining market knowledge in payroll best practices (e.g., auditing) and payroll compliance, internal controls, etc
  • Lead global payroll tax related efforts, documenting processes and delegating where appropriate
  • Advise for future global mobility tax planning opportunities for complex cross-border relocations (both temporary assignments and permanent relocations)
  • Attending meetings, trainings, and other tasks as assigned by leadership
  • Effective collaboration with the People, Legal, Accounting, FP&A, and business units on general payroll and equity matters with cross functional impact.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years work experience including multi state and international payroll processing and taxes
  • Experience with Payrolls larger than 2,000 employees and both exempt and nonexempt employees, both multi-state and global payroll
  • Experience leading payroll teams to support global payroll
  • Understanding of employment tax rules, including regulatory and compliance matters related to expatriate taxes and payroll/employment taxation
  • Experience with payroll processing related to equity compensation including restricted stock units and stock options
  • Experience working with multiple diverse payroll systems like Workday and ADP
  • Experience with payroll audits and compliance globally
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with a team
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal and client service skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and to deal tactfully and courteously with business partners and clients when explaining the functions and policies of Payroll
  • Organizational and planning skills, including being able to work reliably and efficiently under demanding deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred
