Are you looking to join a great manufacturing company as their HR Manager?

Our client is looking for Experienced Manufacturing HR Manager to join their team in Essex.
As an HR Manager you will be a part of an integral team to act as the point of contact, manager, and administrator for all Human Resources functions including but not limited to: recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, policies and procedures, programs, performance management, training, employee safety and security, and overall employee communications.
Overview of the HR Manager role
Monday - Friday - Day shift. Pay range is $33 - $45 per hour based on experience.
1) Interfaces with management team to provide additional insight with respect to human resources functions, initiatives, and processes as well as representing both sides of the business (company and employee perspectives.)
a. Works with General Manager as well as on-site Production Manager to ensure that adequate headcount is maintained to optimize the company's ability to produce the successful completion of all customer orders and deliverables on time according to shipment target dates and quantities as set by the customer orders.
b. Ensures that all onboarding, training, safety, and other employee-related documentation, required sign-offs, etc. are captured, well organized, filed and properly stored.
c. Works with all managers and Team Leads to ensure that successful supervisor and subordinate relationships are maintained. Assists managers and supervisors toward the successful resolution of any conflict, non-performance, and/or employee relations issues that arise.
d. Maintains performance evaluations files and ensures that all appraisals are done timely by working with managers and supervisors individually with regard to their direct reports. Closes any gaps in this process.
e. Creates and maintains all job descriptions. Updates outdated job descriptions as required.
f. Responsible for seeking out and sourcing the most cost-efficient job boards as well as ad placements in local newspapers, trade magazines, etc. for the purposes of attracting the best candidates for all open positions.
g. Conducts extensive salary research in order to price all jobs as accurately as possible for the area within and surrounding the plant location. Utilizes market research as well as outsourced salary websites, surveys, etc. in order to gather the most up-to-date salary information.
2) Provides data, input, and/or reports for Finance/General Management to assist in effectively capturing all labor and related benefits costs.
a. Works with Director of Finance to support basic payroll-related accounting transactions and payments under established procedures, and provides basic analysis, as required.
b. Assists with and provides ad hoc reports for Finance as well as General Management with respect to payroll/direct labor and/or employee statistical information. Produces labor cost reports for input and finalization of company reporting requirements to parent company senior management.
c. Maintains all current headcount data for operations within the site which are updated regularly to ensure information is always accurate. Acts as a resource for production planning as it relates to headcount, as well as all employee-related concerns/issues, (e.g., recruitment and retention, etc.) to support critical manufacturing production needs.
d. Acts as the main source of the collection and input of all Time-Off Request Forms, Direct Deposit adds, changes, etc., as well as other employee benefits adds/changes/cancels to be entered into the system and processed accurately and timely. Finalizes and releases bi-weekly payroll processing to completion.
e. Maintains all employee benefits plan documents to ensure compliance. Provides outside administrators with census data as required for annual compliance testing.
3) Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

What are we looking for in a HR Manager?
o 3-5 years' experience working as an HR Generalist or Manager within a manufacturing environment with working knowledge of human resources best practices, as well as production targets, and shipping fulfillment processes. Experience in RFID, and/or high velocity manufacturing environments a plus.
o Associates or Bachelor of Arts or Sciences (or equivalent.) Concentrations in HR, Business, Accounting, and/or Finance strongly preferred.
o Language Skills:
Possess strong English language skills and be able to:
• Read, analyze, and interpret (with some minor technical assistance if required) compliance regulation as it pertains to employee benefit plans. Maintains employee benefit plan documents as ensures that all are current.
• Write, and/or assist in writing, specific presentation materials, business correspondence (email, letters, reports, etc.), as well as all employee communications with regard to recruitment, employment, benefits, etc.
• Effectively, efficiently and professionally communicate with internal team and employees as well as any/all external customers, brokers, carriers, legal counsel, etc. in order to ensure our/their needs are continually met.
• Professionally interface with the management team, as well as senior level management from parent company and be able to effectively respond to questions posed from all as well as providing up-to-date information requested.
Any abilities to communicate in German, French, or Spanish would be a plus.
o Reasoning Ability: Be able to help define problems, collect data and facts, and make strong, logical conclusions. Be able to anticipate, based on knowledge and experience, any concern/problems before they impact employees, operations, and importantly, our customers, and help to define/recommend, and implement preventative solutions.
o Possess the ability to curiously pursue alternative solutions to positively impact cost-savings/reductions initiatives by thoughtfully seeking out and fostering positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate price reductions and/or additional savings contracts.
o Computer skills: Use of the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook or other email) is required.

• CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
o General Conditions:
The applicant must pass an ASK-intTag, LLC/Paragon ID specified drug screen (10-panel) prior to starting employment.
o Security Clearances:
This position may require (subject to HPPA requirements) the incumbent to complete, be granted, and maintain, a US Department of State MRPT clearance as an condition of employment. At minimum, a preliminary and interim security background check must be passed before employment begins. All offers of employment are conditional based upon the successful passing of the background check and drug screening, regardless of any additional clearances further required.
o Working Conditions:
Works primarily in an office setting but may also be on the manufacturing floor, which requires the incumbent to be able to sit, stand, and or walk for an entire shift. Also, lifting in excess of 25 lbs. may, at times, be required to perform the essential functions of the job. The noise level and/or humidity in the production area can be moderate and fluctuating. The incumbent will be required to wear static, hearing, foot, and/or other personal protective equipment (PPE) as per established production procedures, while performing any of the duties outlined above on the production floor. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
