Product Business Analyst

Overview of Position

Under general supervision performs analyses of existing products, identifies areas of risk or exposure, and ensures the continued functionality of products. Makes recommendations and/or direct changes to product functionality in order to improve and support business activities. Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner. Reviews industry changes or mandates, produces documentation on the impact to existing systems, and provides detailed business requirements for programmers.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

+ Assists in the creation and maintenance of product databases (SQL/ISAM)

+ Assists with data acquisition, archive recovery, and data management

+ Supports the development and testing of new products

+ Maintains and updates product information on a pre-defined schedule

+ Maintains communication with product-side contacts (Provider Services, ombudsmen, etc.) to ensure product quality

+ Organizes and assists with the completion of routine task requests, departmental reporting, and procedural updates

+ Monitor, correct, and report rejects/faults/inconsistencies in order to develop safeguards against future issues

What are the requirements needed for this position?

+ HS Diploma or GED

+ 2+ years of Pharmacy or Medical Billing related experience

+ Technical background in NCPDP

+ Strong knowledge of Linux and SQL

+ Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Visio, Project)

+ Strong technical skills required

+ Programming and/or database skills

+ Health care industry experience

+ Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

+ Delivery focused; comfortable working independently with the ability to work within tight deadlines

+ Excellent time management skills with ability to complete projects accurately and on time
