Apply now and learn why there's #MoreAtFreddieMac!**Position can be performed in McLean, VA office or remote (within the United States).**Our Impact:Develop and drive a cross functional strategy to integrate environmental, social and governance principles into all aspects of the business, defining goals appropriate for each business and group that will contribute to the company's sustainability agenda and approachServe as an advisor and partner in service of completing those goalsIdentify risks and opportunities arising from the sustainability strategyManage ESG reporting; function as a SME on reporting frameworks and methodologiesYour Impact:Primary communications lead on Sustainability team. Partner closely with the corporate communications team to lead and develop the communications plan, internal and external messaging, website content and related materials/tools/eventsServe as authorized spokesperson for all ESG mattersLead the ESG Reporting in developing procedures; manage the end-to-end schedule, collect data, review process, tools and resourcesIdentify reporting data needs aligned to industry expectations, procure data, improve data quality, and support internal audit activitiesEngage with market participants (sellers, dealers, investors) to stay abreast of ESG reporting trends, regulations, and standardsDevelop strong relationships with key leaders and SMEs in each division, particularly in Single Family, Multifamily, Finance, Enterprise Risk Management and CommunicationsDevelop Board and senior management content and deliver presentations as applicableOnboard, partner and oversee third parties (e.g. consultancies, service providers) as applicableAd hoc travel (no more than 5%) to engage with partners, investors and participate in conferences and industry eventsProvide SME input to business divisions in developing related reporting to ensure alignment with corporate-level sustainability reportingQualifications:8+ years of related experienceBachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferredProven ability to build relationships, partner with multi-functional teams and influence othersStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience implementing and aligning to regulatory or industry frameworksFamiliar with ICMA Green/ Social/ Sustainability Bond Principles is a plusFamiliarity with sustainability strategies, market trends, investor focus areas and organizations is helpfulFamiliar with UN SDGs / PRIExperience or familiarity with Freddie Mac (e.g., mission, businesses, and capital markets execution) or GSEs is a plusPositive attitude, creative problem solver, determined and standout colleague on a lean team is criticalComfortable with ambiguity and can adapt quickly to connect with different partnersProven ability to effect change through influenceKeys to Success in this Role:Independent, positive, creative and pragmatic problem solverAble to build business case to inspire changeComfortable with ambiguity and can adapt quickly to shifts in strategy and addressing problems as they ariseStrong communication skillsCurrent Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.
