About the Role FTI Consulting, Inc., a $2.5B public company, is looking for mission-focused, strategic and process-minded leader to help manage the company's global financial reporting and analysis function. This individual will report to the Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis. He/She should have significant experience in the identification, development and roll-out of key decision support tools for best practice integrated management reporting processes and systems. What You'll Do Management / Segment Support 1. Analyze corporate and business operating results on a monthly basis and develop appropriate commentary for different audiences. Work closely with segment/regional/industry finance leads to understand business drivers, issues and opportunities. 2. Support the production of monthly management reports for Executive Management and the Board of Directors, including financial information, key metrics and variance analysis. 3. Manage the coordination and review of the quarterly forecast, including a. Assess business projections for reasonableness b. Provide and assess risks and opportunities c. Provide analysis for management decision making 4. Assist in the development, consistent definition and tracking of key financial and operational performance indicators. 5. Coordinate the development of Segment MD&A analysis for external reporting needs. 6. Assist in the development of quarterly press release, script and supporting business performance slides/metrics, including reporting packages for analyst call and investor conferences. 7. Support the Investor Relations function, including preparation of investor presentations, dissemination of externally communicated information, etc. 8. Develop and manage the long-term operating model, providing visibility into the projected income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows over a 5-year horizon 9. Assess various business scenarios and translate changing economic, regulatory and other local conditions into financial implications. 10. As needed, participate in financial modeling requirements for potential acquisitions, accretion/dilution analysis, etc. 11. Support the long-term strategic planning process, ensuring reasonableness of assumptions and output, including developing and implementing policies and procedures for integrating the annual budgeting process with the company-wide strategic planning and forecasting processes. 12. Support the company-wide annual budgeting process, including distribution of allocations, cost and economic assumptions, and the consolidation and presentation of budgets to Senior Management. 13. Support the development of cash flow, Interest Income and expense projections in coordination with the Treasurer. How You'll Grow 1. Coach and mentor staff on-the-job as well as via appropriate training opportunities. 2. Measure staff satisfaction and performance. Other 1. Act as liaison to Segment/Regional finance leads, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Investor Relations, Tax and Executive Management in support of information requests. 2. Participate in special projects. 3. Assist in the development, design and implementation of financial systems and decision support tools related to the analysis function 4. Provide training on a global basis to increase skill sets relative to the use of decision support tools Skills 1. Experienced at developing and delivering Executive-level presentations. 2. Team oriented. 3. Ability to direct and influence resources without direct reporting relationships. 4. Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and evaluate businesses within a variety of different industries. 5. Expert in budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and investor relations. 6. Expert in development of variance and trend financial analysis. 7. Expert user of financial systems, TM1, Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, database or other reporting writing tools. 8. ERP implementation and exposure to development of integrated management reporting tools a plus. 9. Exposure to US GAAP accounting and external reporting processes (10K's, 10Q's, etc.) 10. Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Experience 1. BS in Accounting, Economics or Finance 2. MBA required 3. CPA/CFA highly desirable 4. 10 years of experience in financial areas with concentration in financial analysis, Executive-level presentations and Executive support. 5. Travel required to FTI office(s). 6.
