Job DescriptionAt Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you'll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation. As part of Freddie Mac's return to the office pilot, all employees, contingent workers and visitors must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to be on-site unless they have an approved accommodation.Position Overview:Examine servicers' execution of Freddie Mac loss mitigation programs and compliance with default servicing guidelines.Review loan servicing history records and other documents to determine services' compliance with collections, property preservation, loss mitigation and foreclosure guidelines.Apply written instruction, training materials and policy-related direction to loan file reviews associated with Freddie Mac-approved servicers.Identify underwriting document defects as well as completing re-performance tests of settled workouts.Work independently to review and document detailed and accurate review results.Our Impact:Provide a performance feedback loop to servicers so they can identify the root cause of defects and make the changesnecessaryto avoid future defects and improve our borrowers' experienceMitigate company riskYour Impact:Identify servicing deficiencies orviolations that warrant a remedy to help mitigate our riskHelp to measure and report performance to servicers and internal business partners to improve performance and collapse internal silosQualifications:7-10 years of related experience in the mortgage industry.Knowledge and expertise in mortgage default servicing (collections, foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation program and underwriting guidelines).Keys to Success in this Role:Must be detail oriented.Strong analytical and written communication skills.Knowledgeable in Freddie Mac Seller Servicer Guide requirements for Non-Performing Loans.Current Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.
