We are searching for an outstanding team member to join our HR team. As an HR Generalist with a special focus on Benefits and Wellness, you will provide support to our larger organization. You will be a trusted business partner to your stakeholders. Your positive attitude and customer support mindset will drive you to succeed in this role in partnership with our employees.

This position will be based in the Alexandria, Virginia office. It will partner closely with the local team members as well as support our 1400+ team members across the United States.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
Be an advocate of and abide by MTSI's employee first culture and core values.
Manage and administer all MTSI leave programs including but not limited to: FMLA, disability, PTO, and special leaves
Manage and administer tuition assistance program; working with HR Analyst for roll out of new tuition assistance workflow
Share responsibility for managing and responding to employee HR/benefit questions promptly and accurately
Provide a clear, consistent off-boarding process for exiting employees and their managers
Perform quality checks and approve new hire data entry
Act as backup for onboarding and orientation
Maintain all 401k loans and salary deferrals in coordination with our third-party administrator and Payroll/Accounting
Partner with Payroll and Accounting to ensure accurate charging of premiums, open leave codes, and accurate leave charging for employees
Run reports and perform analyses of benefits programs and data
Build and lead company wellness plan in coordination with HR leadership and outside vendors
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in a Benefits role
Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or professional work experience
Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements
Working knowledge of human resources management principles and practices in all human resource programs preferred
Exceptional customer support experience
Proven communicator with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with human resources systems and databases in general such as ADP, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Cornerstone or other similar systems; working within iCIMS applicant tracking system (ATS), or a similar applicant tracking system (ATS) is a plus
Proven ability to deliver on deadlines within a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work in a team environment and independently; is self-directed and can work with minimal supervision
Takes initiative to identify areas that can be improved and/or generate creative solutions
Must be able to maintain confidentiality, display discretion and protect privacy of information
The ability to interact with people at all levels is required
A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service
Ability to multi-task
