Allegient Defense is a leader in advanced technology research and solutions development, and we are growing quickly. We are currently in need of an experienced and professional Jr. Recruiter to join our team. The position deals both with funded work and contingent recruiting for proposals. In this role, one would collaborate extensively with both our HR and Business Development teams.
Description:
- Coordinate recruiting process, which includes processing requisitions, posting job advertisements, and working with department heads, sourcing and screening candidates
- Assist with scheduling interviews for candidates
- General administrative duties including calendar and meeting coordination, file maintenance, answering phones, making copies, etc.
- Support Corporate Recruiter with other duties as assigned
- Flexibility to deal with fast-paced, constantly changing organization
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a req-load of 10 - 20 active requisitions
- Consults with hiring managers, craft detailed and compelling job descriptions, determine effective screening questions, and posting requisitions
- Sources talent by utilizing the job boards, postings, referrals, and attending events
- Consults with candidates, finds out what drives them and guides them through the hiring process
- Screens talent to ensure candidates are: qualified, cultural fits, and fully vetted for their interest in the role
- Submits applicants to hiring manager and schedules interviews, assists hiring manager in decision process
- Negotiates offers, prepares offer letter requests, and follows up to ensure success in closing candidates
- Attends/conducts meetings with hiring managers
- Works special projects as assigned; including proposal support, new contract transitions, corporate projects including process improvement, or innovation initiatives
Requirements
- Must bring 2 - 3 years of work experience in Recruiting.
- Solid communication skills to effectively deal with various levels of management, staff and/or outside contacts.
- Exceptional, professional, current and clean social media presence with ability to leverage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
- Excellent organizational, analytical and grammatical skills
- Ability to deal successfully with complexities of a rapidly expanding organization
- Ability to plan and manage projects within time constraints
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word
