Job Title: Senior Business Analyst/Subject Matter Expert (USAID)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

Great Falls Software Solutions (GFSS) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst/Subject Matter Expert to support the system development needs of USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) to be part of abacus business system development team. The position includes gathering requirements and helping design modifications to BHA's Abacus system. USAID's BHA is a fast-paced, exciting new bureau, and this position provides an opportunity to be part of an elite team on the cutting edge of emerging issues around the world.


Responsibilities include:

  • Learn, analyze, and understand how USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian assistance uses Abacus to provide life-saving humanitarian assistance-including food, water, shelter, emergency healthcare, sanitation and hygiene, and critical nutrition services
  • Liaise with key government stakeholders to gather, analyze, translate, and verify system requirements, identify system needs, and define scope and phases for new system development
  • Work closely with colleagues, developers, testers, and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
  • Work with technical team and key government stakeholders to demo new system changes, gather feedback, get final approvals to release changes, and coordinate releases
  • Lead and coordinate release planning with stakeholders to drive alignment on feature prioritization


Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. government food aid and/or humanitarian assistance policies and procedures strongly preferred, not required
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior managers, key stakeholders, and general users
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude; project management skills
