HR Generalist

PAE has an opportunity for an entry-level Human Resources Generalist to provide support to a variety of contracts with a broad range of customers within the National Security Solutions (NSS) business area. Working under direct supervision of an HR Manager, this position is responsible for providing HR support and assisting in the delivery of HR services to business areas and programs within NSS in a timely, effective manner. This position will also be responsible for managing multiple projects and initiatives within the NSS HR team.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

* Partner with Program Leadership and other levels of management to promote a diverse and inclusive working environment and support the development of the workforce
* Provide proactive direction and guidance to managers and employees on a variety of issues including but not limited to: compensation, benefits, performance management (coaching, career development, counseling and/or disciplinary actions), communications and training, employee relations issues, interpretation of employment laws and company policies and procedures
* Recommend and implement actions to further enhance employee engagement and to address challenges specific to the employee population
* Manage projects related to employee morale, retention, culture change, and other priority areas of HR; develop and implement action plans to meet stated goals
* Working under the supervision of more senior HR staff, investigate employee complaints/allegations by interviewing appropriate parties, gathering information, and providing feedback as appropriate.
* Assist in identifying training needs for the program and deliver (or coordinate the delivery of) non-operational training
* Address employee/management inquiries regarding SCA regulations
* Facilitate new hire orientation sessions for NSS and/or program(s)
* Gather and analyze new hire survey data and recommend actions to address trends or issues
* Conduct group presentations to communicate company policy, processes, and/or annual company activities such as benefits enrollment, ethics training, etc. as needed
* Facilitate program start-up activities as needed to include employee communications, briefings, orientation and onboarding, communication with management and other functional areas, system set-up, and other related activities
* Other duties as assigned

The HRBP must demonstrate an ability to establish rapport at all levels of the organization and collaborate across functional areas to work towards identified goals. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, good judgement, analytical and problem solving ability, and a demonstrated aptitude for consulting effectively with others. Strong facilitation, persuasion, and listening skills are a must. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex administrative processes and must have demonstrated project management abilities. This individual must be able to proactively research and review labor laws, regulations and policies, and work with HR leadership to recommend courses of action. Candidate must demonstrate a high level of adaptability and tolerance for ambiguity.

Qualifications:

* BS/BA Degree
* 2 years of relevant experience
* Demonstrated experience managing HR related projects
* Ability to travel between facilities in Northern Virginia to provide on-site HR support and guidance as needed
* Proficiency with MS Office
* Working knowledge of Workday HRIS and Deltek Costpoint
* Ability to adapt to new systems used by HR professionals as needed
* Knowledge of SCA contracts preferred
