The Product Owner / Business Analyst - is responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements from the Stakeholders and leading the group to deliver the value to the customers. The PO creates detailed requirements that are easily comprehensible by the business as well as the technical team. The role involves proposing solutions for large and/or complex business areas, prepares specifications and assists with user and system testing.
You have several years of experience managing and delivering multiple complex software projects. You have a solid understanding of Agile project management methodologies. You have a reputation which speaks to your acute attention to detail.
You'll be clearly communicating the business goals and objectives internally and externally, building shared understanding across all teams and stakeholders. You will also assist the project manager and development teams with backlog grooming & product definition.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Team Player in an Agile Environment, able to work in a fast paced, innovative, and collaborative environment
- Responsible for building, pruning, and maintaining the team backlog, backlog grooming and product definition.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to create, refine and maintain user stories and associated deliverables such as process flows and test cases to meet development and stakeholder needs.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Create a product development strategy and the steps that will get the product from inception to implementation.
- Manage the decisions that impact the final product during the course of defining, designing, building, testing and launching a product.
- Consistently demonstrate Lean principles for efficient delivery.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Work with the scrum team to define acceptance criteria
- Work with the stakeholders to confirm the delivered solution is in fulfillment of the stated requirements
- Create concepts, wireframes, and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Design and create mockups and user journeys for a wide range of devices including mobile
- Leverage User Experience (UX) methodologies for uncovering user needs and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Provide thought leadership towards emerging UX best practices, trends, and technologies
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Review the test plans and scripts
- Responsible for maintaining outstanding issue and bug logs
- Post-implementation support
- Create white papers and strategic documents for the executive management.
- Several years of experience managing and delivering multiple complex software projects
- Solid understanding of Agile project management methodology
- A reputation which speaks to your acute attention to detail
- Exposure to formal QA procedures
- Ability to write SQL queries
- Experience with OBDII technology is considered as an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, JIRA, UX/UI Design and Agile Scrum
- Knowledge of web application development tools, services, stacks and methods e.g. Java, JavaScript, HTML5, Angular, REST, etc.
- Computer Engineering with 5+ years related experience in product management or technical solution delivery
- Certified Scrum Product Owner designation is desirable
- Experience in Automotive Industry and top-tier technology consulting firm is an asset

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $100,000.00.
