The Role: Industry Editor, Research
The Location: Charlottesville, Virginia; Denver or Boulder, Colorado
The Grade: (for internal purposes only): G10
The Team: We are editors and analysts who cover the energy, metals and mining sectors in the US and worldwide. We work with colleagues in Manila, London, Canada and the U.S. to get timely analysis and sector research posted.
The Impact: We provide workflow oversight and editorial decision-making. Do you love coordinating with writers and editors? In this role, you will do just that: ensure coverage of our sectors is written and posted to our online platform in a timely fashion, with a focus on quality.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $55.9k - 70k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Responsibilities:
- Editing articles, research reports, and marketing materials as needed
- Vetting data in spreadsheets, tables and graphs; checking correspondence with text
- Communicating effectively with analysts and production staff regarding any questions of fact, mathematics or other clarifications
- Stay up to date with knowledge of covered industries
- Expand technical expertise by learning evolving systems and platforms
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience covering commodities
- Desire knowledge of the energy or the metals/mining sector. Commodity markets editorial experience would also be suitable.
- Experience of both the energy and metals sectors would be an advantage
- Excellent written and oral English-language skills
- Familiarity with financial/business math and data concepts
- Ability to multi-task while following a flexible schedule to meet deadlines
- Fluent in concepts of research
- Strong editorial skills
