Description
The role of the Technical Recruiter is critical to the growth and success of Plateau, they are considered the lifeblood of Plateau and therefore represent the future of the company. Plateau is seeking individuals who demonstrate the attitude, work ethic, and character that drives continual success. The ideal candidate will work with enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward their individual success as well as that of the company and their colleagues. Successful Recruiter's must demonstrate the ability to adapt to an evolving company culture, policies and procedures and must be flexible to changing priorities as demanded by this industry.
Responsibilities
  • Perform professional level duties to attract, screen, recruit, and hire cleared personnel across several programs with a wide range of skill sets.
  • Through a high volume of outbound calls/emails, source candidates using various methods and technologies and identify qualified professionals focusing on candidates holding security clearances to support our customer's missions.
  • Conduct phone screens and in person interviews to ensure candidate possesses the technical competence, applicable background, skills, and qualifications to meet position and program requirements.
  • Convey Plateau's brand and culture to attract candidates who will be employees that represent the company in accordance to shared values which include a commitment to integrity, character and excellence.
  • Build and maintain a proactive bench/network of potential candidates for regular openings and upcoming proposals and contracts through proactive market research and on-going relationship management; conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high interview-to-offer ratios.
  • Maintain communication with candidate during the interview and selection process and ensure that all objections are overcome.
  • Continue to perform within a "career advocate role" for employees once hired as they increase their skills and interest to maintain employee satisfaction and a high company retention rate.
  • Understand formatting of resumes unique to varying programs and customers. Tailors resumes to position descriptions with clear and concise information that appeals to the customer's expectations. This includes appropriate and relevant content with a keen attention to detail, grammar, punctuation, and correct spelling.
  • Establish and negotiate employment agreements and offer letters.
  • Manage Plateau's Applicant Tracking System, Paylocity, with all necessary notes and transaction details for every candidate and business contact to ensure accuracy in regards to requisitions and candidates.
  • Conduct the recruiting process within the limits of recommended human resources and legal compliance standards.
  • Generate qualified leads for potential business opportunities, document and ensure they are passed on to BD team.
  • Work with the Leadership team to manage the Referral Program; generate referrals from candidates for new business opportunities and other qualified employees.
  • Responsible for meeting weekly production metrics.
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Plateau's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
  • Articulate in writing recruiting plans with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
  • Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top performers for senior-level openings.
  • Support corporate operations including various field and office duties.


  • Bachelor's Degree or Relevant Work Experience.
  • Certifications Preferred: PRC, CIR, SCMR, SHRM
  • 4+ years of progressive recruiting experience with a focus on passive candidate generation and engagement.
  • 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally across the recruiting process, communicating, and partnering with multiple stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing recruiting tools such as Clearance Jobs, Indeed, Dice, for sourcing and candidate/applicant management, e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM and ATS systems, web search, and other sourcing products.
  • Highly motivated and organized.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to build long lasting relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail and discretion with regards to confidential information.
  • Comfortable interacting with highly technical candidates and senior leadership.
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite, the internet and other IT equipment and databases to complete routine and moderately complex tasks.
  • Able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Flexible and able to adapt as needed to support high priority tasks or initiatives.
  • Highly motivated, professional and have a customer focused and mature approach.
