Job description

The Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), a professional state association in Richmond, Va., seeks an energetic, innovative and results-oriented marketing and business development specialist to drive and execute marketing, sales and other strategies to achieve membership and business development revenue goals. This positionisan essentialpart of the VSCPAs marketingand membership teamthat supports ourmission to help our 13,000 + members thrive.Reports to our Membership & Marketing Director. We offer a hybrid work environment and will consider remote candidates outside the Richmond area.

About the Role

* Develop and implement firm and group membership program to meet membership and dues revenue goals
* Develop and implement business development program, including advertising, sponsorships and exhibits to deliver member value and meet sales goals
* Seek and foster relationships with current and potential member employers and industry partners
* Liaise with firm administrators and coordinate their events, communications and other outreach activities
* Coordinates with the technology team on the firm administrator functionality of the website and other tools that will create value to firms and companies

* Cultivate and maintain awareness of marketing and sales trends and opportunities
* Works closely with membership & marketing director and other team members on the strategic direction of marketing and business development campaigns
* Develops and tracks sales goals and marketing budgets
* Collects and analyzes data to evaluate marketing and sales performance and potential performance to drive growth
* Manages outsourced graphic design, photography, videography, print shops and/or freelance writing as needed

Requirements

About You

Our ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in marketing or related field along with 2-5 years professional experience and proven history of marketing and business development success. The candidate will also have a passion for marketing and sales, be highly self-motivated and managed and have strong communications and relationship-building skills. Does this sound like you?

* You have exceptional marketing, sales and relationship building skills and are focused on getting results.

* You are a compelling and clear communicator both in writing and verbally.
* You have a strong knowledge of marketingand business development strategies, includingsales funnels, marketing techniques and persuasive communication. You have experience and track record of success with sales, advertising and sponsorship programs.
* You are an excellent project manager, extremely organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, pay close attention to details and consistently meet deadlines.
* You are highly self-motivated, think quick on your feet, are a proactive problem solver and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* You love learning new things and can learn quickly. Youre technologically savvy and energized by using technology to meet challenges and provide solutions. Comfortable with Microsoft Office 365,database systems, project management software, broadcast email platforms and website content management systems

* You enjoy monitoring trends, collecting and analyzing data to inform marketingstrategies and are motivated to test/try new ideas. You arent afraid to fail forward.

Starting Salary Range

$41,000 - $51,000
