The Leidos Health Group has an immediate opportunity for a Vice President, Division Manager to lead a division dedicated to solutions around whole health and readiness of our military.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Military and Veterans Health Solutions, the Division Manager is responsible for a geographically dispersed organization with multiple programs in the areas of human performance and non-medical counseling. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing, diversifying and growing the business to ensure it is the leader in designing, architecting, developing, operating, and sustaining mission focused solutions across the customer set. This position may work remotely, with the ability to travel to our corporate headquarters in Reston VA, as well as various customer sites across the United States, as needed.

POSITION SCOPE:

  • The line of business currently has over 1,000 geographically-dispersed employees domestically and internationally in various programs.
  • Responsible for a profit and loss center and for directing a team of managers/leads to ensure the attainment of operational, financial and strategic business goals. Responsible for selecting, organizing, managing, and growing Division leadership.
  • Responsible for establishing objectives, plans and budgets, typically relying on senior management for setting strategic direction, guidance and company-wide policies that are implemented within the Division.
  • Communicates and negotiates with leaders within and outside of the company. Primary liaison between Division and executive management.
  • Responsible for developing future leaders, including mentoring and coaching direct leadership
  • Develop, maintain, and leverage customer and partner relationships. Drive the importance of those relationships through the organization.
  • Actively engage in new business and contract growth activities. Chair all gate reviews at Division authority level. Present gate review material at Operations and Group Level Gate Reviews.

CUSTOMER SCOPE:

  • Primarily DoD and other government agencies needing holistic wellness and readiness solutions

FINANCIAL SCOPE:

  • Ensures that return on capital is maximized and short- and long-term objectives are met for Division.
  • Ultimate accountability for over $150 million in profit and loss (P&L) within the Division.
  • Responsible for growing the business, inclusive of both new business and on-contract growth. Develops and delivers on annual operating plan (AOP) and other business commitments (e.g. revenue, operating income, free cash flow, backlog, book-to-bill, indirect rate performance, labor base, sales, budget oversight).

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic direction and strategy-to-action plan for the portfolio, including expansion to other government agencies in collaboration across the Health Group.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development organization to achieve business growth targets within the account base and new customers.
  • Actively engage other organizations within Leidos on collaboration efforts that raise the bar on our current contracts and enable growth in adjacent markets.
  • Oversee operational execution and financial aspects of contract deliverables, cost, and schedule to achieve all key performance indicators of the organizations' AOP commitment.
  • Provide operational oversight and coaching to program managers.
  • Manage indirect budgets to plan.
  • Lead staff to achieve a high degree of customer affinity with all programs and maintain Leidos positive brand recognition across all customers.
  • Develop employee base to achieve high degree of employee retention and performance, including the identification and development of future leaders in Leidos.
  • Manage organizational compliance with Leidos policies and procedures. By personal example, set the tone and direction for morale and ethical leadership for the Health Group. Continue to build a culture grounded in the Leidos values, beliefs and expectations and highest standards of ethical and respectful behavior. Promote improved transparency and cross-group collaboration.
  • Actively engage in strategic initiatives within the Military and Veterans Health Solutions Operation and Leidos Health Group to support the success of the entire organization.
  • Provide backup support to Sr. Vice President of the Military and Veterans Health Solutions Operation as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/BA Degree and 15+ prior years of relevant experience.

Pay Range: Pay Range $169,000.00 - $260,000.00 - $351,000.00
