Job Description:
TSC has an immediate requirement for an experienced Business Development Managerat the Dahlgren Office, to support TSC operations in Crystal City, WNY and Dahlgren with the primary focus being on the U.S. Navy.
Responsibilities:
- Remain up-to-date on Navy missions, initiatives, and organizational structure focused on Dahlgren, VA activities and business
- Identify potential clients in the Dahlgren market
- Identify and track Industry Day, RFI, and RFP release dates/timelines based on guideline criteria provided by management
- Complete appropriate research on the prospective organization's technical and/or programmatic needs
- Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships
- Remain aware of potential competitors; including competitors' areas of expertise, strengths, and weaknesses
- Identify and maintain a list of potential Teaming Partners
- Develop relationships with potential Teaming Partners
- Manage Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) and Teaming Agreements (TA)
- Become a subject matter expert on TSC technical and programmatic capabilities across the company
- Coordinate with technical staff to create contract-winning proposals for prospective clients' analysis.
Required Skills:
- Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate information
- Ability to express ideas effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to work with large amounts of data
- Knowledgeable in the DoD 5000 Framework
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Required Qualifications:
12 Years' experience performing either BD, Capture or proposal management in the defense contracting industry with 8 years' specialized in the U.S. Navy market and at least 5 of the last 8 years in the Dahlgren market working either BD or capture.
- At least 5 years of experience working on BD efforts of no less than $40 million.
- Have previously attended BD & proposal methodology course such as Shipley.
- Have strong knowledge of Contract types, strengths and weaknesses
