SPA assists the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in developing leading edge technologies to counter WMD in support of CCMDs and transitioning these technologies to services and SOCOM. SPA provides expertise across the full range of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) WMD, Counter Improvised Threat and Countering Threat Network technologies to support understanding, detection, identification, characterization, denial, control, disabling, defeating, disposing, safeguarding the force, managing consequences, and test and evaluation in support of military and civilian operations. #CJ #IN123

Responsibilities:
Provide experience and expertise to assist the Government in early drug developmental stages up to and including the early pre-clinical (animal) work
Assist with designing protocols to demonstrate efficacy in animal models that accurately reflect human disease progression
Support advanced, complex technical projects requiring start of the art technical or industry knowledge in subjects such as medical countermeasure development, regulatory affairs, and others
Review proposals, technical reports, experimental or theoretical techniques, scientific studies and statements of work to ensure technical validity and evaluation of included regulatory proposals
Assist leadership with decision making related to drug development work efforts
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related field (i.e., Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, or related scientific field)
3-5 years of experience in drug development within a pharmaceutical organization or within the FDA
Demonstrated understanding of drug development regulatory affairs
DoD Secret level clearance
