Overview:
ATCC is looking for an enthusiastic associate marketer to join our global marketing team. The Associate Marketing Specialist will be providing project management and communications support for marketing activities, working closely with team members to increase brand awareness, drive sales, and generate new business leads. This role serves an instrumental bridge between marketing, product, and sales teams, ensuring timely and efficient execution and measurement of paid advertising, social media and event strategies. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented self-starter who can also work in a team environment. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about many facets of marketing communications at a highly recognized scientific organization.
Responsibilities:
Participates in the creation and implementation of marketing plans and serves as a liaison between key internal constituents to articulate the brand's and business unit's position and to ensure consistency of the brand and corporate image in all programs, events and promotional pieces.
Collaborates with team members to plan, develop and produce promotional tools and communication vehicles to support brand marketing, corporate marketing, and sales efforts.
Participates in all aspects of event planning and execution including event logistics, vendor selection and coordination, sponsorships, event promotion, attendee communication, and post-even follow up.
Supports communications projects in the areas of advertising and promotional programs, public relations and trade shows, including Internet-based communications.
Creates messaging by translating marketing strategy and value propositions into relevant content for target audience.
Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, and new product information by relaying customer service requests.
Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating costs and managing projects to completion.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in life sciences, business, marketing or equivalent qualifying experience.
0-3 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good understanding of marketing tactics including digital marketing and campaign management.
Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects at the same time in a fast pace environment.
Strategic thinker able to grasp key elements of marketing strategies and translate them into customer focused messages and campaigns.
Excellent writing skills, turning key messages into compelling stories to drive customer engagement & conversion online and off line.
Strong analytical skills, and ability to use data to support measurement of marketing performance.
Self-starter, motivated and takes initiative; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; able to work collaboratively with all levels of staff to resolve problems and external partners to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
Seek, learn, and apply new skills/knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
Attentive to detail with a high level of accuracy; exercise sound judgment and strong project management skills.

Position-relevant computer experience including Microsoft Office.
Follow all company safety practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1)+ year with hands on experience in a scientific laboratory
Two (2)+ years of experience in a marketing, communication or customer facing role
System savvy, with ability to use new digital technologies (i.e. CRM, Social Media, SEO, etc.)
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned.
