We are a Registered Investment Advisory Firm located in McLean, VA currently seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join our growing team. We specialize in providing sophisticated investment management and financial planning solutions to high-net worth individuals and corporate executives.

Position Overview

As a paraplanner you will embrace technology, enjoy a collaborative environment, and hold in high regard serving clients in a fiduciary capacity. You will work with experienced financial planners, providing comprehensive wealth management solutions. This opportunity will allow you to develop and gain access to outstanding market and growth opportunities while adding stability and capacity to the overall business operation.


Initial Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to the Financial Planning Team, conducting financial planning research and assisting in the preparation of customized comprehensive financial plans and portfolios for clients
  • Gain a thorough understanding of each client's financial situation to help create and deliver suitable investment strategies
  • Coordinate client service needs with internal and external team members and provide support to the overall client experience
  • Stay abreast of significant changes or developments (e.g. taxation, regulatory, legal, competitive, and technical) within the fields of financial planning and investments
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of compliance, regulatory and departmental policies and procedures
  • Complete the necessary training and experience to obtain your CFP® certification and/or maintain required designations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in Business, Economics or Financial Planning
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of financial planning and client relationship management experience
  • CFP® Designation or CFP® candidate preferred
  • Foundational knowledge of key financial, investment and risk management concepts
  • A passion to help clients achieve their goals
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, and exceptional follow through
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player
  • Empathy and great active listening skills
  • The ability to think clearly, communicate succinctly, and write well
  • Problem solver
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Fundamental knowledge and hands on experience working with eMoney
