We are seeking to fill the position of Trader which is a full-time permanent position working in our Norfolk, Virginia office. The role of this position is to serve as a key employee in our Trading Department, as well as provide support to the Portfolio Managers in our firm. We will consider entry-level candidates who are driven and anxious to learn. Candidate must also possess excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional and positive demeanor.

Job Description:

This is an entry level position. Extensive training will be provided to the selected candidate. The Trader will be responsible for a large volume of equity trading, a variety of fixed income trading, database management, and ongoing support to internal team of Analysts and Portfolio Managers. He/she will be part of small team in the Trading Department, responsible for executing trades every day on multiple platforms. Trade instructions and investment strategy will be communicated to Trader by internal investment team.

Experience / Qualifications:

-- Bachelor's Degree in finance, economics, accounting, math, statistics, or similar field of study

-- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Microsoft Excel

-- Preferred experience with Bloomberg Terminal, Morningstar, FactSet

-- Passionate about investment management and a desire to make a career in the industry

-- Strong analytical and organizational skills

-- Ability to work well within a team and on a self-directed basis
