Job description

As the Treasury Assistant on the $3.3BN Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Expansion Project (HRBT) in Virginia, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial and other information as well as providing decision support of business decisions to leadership of various functional areas in the company.

The Hampton Roads Connector Partners JV (HRCP) consisting of Dragados USA, VINCI, and Flatiron has been selected to construct the $3.3BN Design Build project -the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

The project scope across a 9 mile section of the I-64 will include: a new 3.5-mile bridge-tunnel crossing that will accommodate a total of 8 lanes of capacity across the water, replacement of the existing marine approach bridges and the addition of a third lane on I-64 in each direction. The twin 45' diameter 1.5-mile tunnels will be bored by TBM, creating the second largest TBM tunnel opening for a TBM in North America. The project is expected to continue to the end of 2025.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Prepare accounting records and reports, including Cash Management and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
  • Assist in processing documents related to the accounts payable (AP) workflow.
  • Perform CK Runs and Cash Needs for the Operation.
  • Perform Bank Reconciliation in a daily and monthly basis.
  • Report to the AP Manager the Net Treasury Position daily.
  • Establish records of accounts and input entries into to proper accounts and cost codes.
  • Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies. Prepare forms and manuals for accounting.
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:

Required

  • Associate degree in Accounting / Finance, or related degree field with emphasis in accounting.
  • Minimum 1 year experience involving accounts payable.

Preferred

  • Construction accounting experience.
  • Ability to manage a number of different tasks and projects in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Prepare documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Share Point.
