QC Lab Tech, South Chesterfield, VA 23834

Temporary to Hire

Overnight Shift- 7pm to 7am

Kelly Science and Clinical is working with a food manufacturing firm in need of multiple entry level QC technicians on the night shift. In this temp to hire role, you will work 12-hour shifts ensuring the quality of manufactured product before it is released for sale.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing line checks every hour to verify all paperwork, labels, Julian dates, and expiration dates for each product are correct
• Calibrate thermometers, CEM, pH meter, texture analyzer, micro equipment, and scales
• Pull samples from the production lines and take samples back to lab for testing
• Run moisture and texture analysis on each sample pulled. Perform citric acid titration.
• Perform visual analysis and flavor analysis of all samples
• Verify packaging labels and SAP numbers
• Receive raw materials
• Tag any product that is Out Of Specification (OOS) withhold tags as well as mark in SAP
• Swab manufacturing equipment after cleaning process before the next product run to ensure cleanliness and avoid contamination of the next product manufactured
• Follow all company and FDA regulations
• Ensure that manufacturing is adhering to the HACCP procedures to prevent pathogens from getting into product

Requirements

• BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related discipline
• Must be organized to plan and prioritize work efficiently
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision
• Must be able to work on your feet for long periods in a fast-paced laboratory and manufacturing setting
