About this jobCarMax is looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Web Strategy team in our quest to once more revolutionize car buying and selling. You will work side-by-side with product teams of designers, developers, and product managers, defining and delivering 1:1 Customer Communication Strategies to acquire, nurture and engage customers throughout the life cycle. This role will work primarily with analytics in the email channel, but at times will flex into other direct communication channels (Direct Mail, SMS, etc), as needed.This Senior Analystwill be responsible for delivering actionable consumer insights and behavioral metrics that help the organization:Improve the experience for CarMax customers through Digital CRM programs & productsBetter convert online & store shoppers into engaged store shoppers and buyersDevelop and enhance strategies that meet evolving consumer and business needs.What you will do - Essential ResponsibilitiesAnalyze quantitative data and build reporting (in Tableau, Excel, Adobe Analytics, and other tools) collected from Digital CRM (email marketing & email customer nurture) products & experimentsDesign test plans & measure effectiveness and success of Digital CRM product innovations, experiments, ongoing consumer nurture email programs, etc.Provide thought partnership & leadership with the Digital CRM Product Manager(s) to develop strategies and plans for assigned customer segment(s), informed by research, to meet business challenges and customer needsPartner with your cross functional team in execution and optimization of digital CRM tactics to meet channel goalsIdentify new opportunities through data analysis to drive the business through Digital CRM strategies & tacticsQualifications and RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Strong analytical thinker with a proven track record of providing actionable insights and clear strategic directionMinimum of 3 years of digital marketing analytics experience required, with at least 1-2 years of direct channel analytics experience (Email, Direct Mail, etc)Subject Matter expert in direct channel; demonstrated experience using channel expertise to drive business improvementsPassionate about data and finding new ways to leverage campaign performance and customer information to unlock new opportunities to drive the program aheadExperience with web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics/SiteCatalyst strongly preferred), including implementation, configuration, and report designProficient with quantitative reporting tools; experience with or in-depth knowledge of the following preferred:A/B and Multivariate Testing (knowledge of Adobe Target preferred)SQLTableau Business Intelligence toolExperience with customer segmentation and personalization strategiesHands-on experience using email tools, (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Litmus) preferredAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through written reports and oral presentations with all levels of managementStrong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentProven ability to play a leadership role in a cross-functional teamExperience/Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Statistical Analysis Software; Database experience requiredWillingness to travel up to 10% of the timeAbout CarMax CarMax disrupted the auto industry by delivering the honest, transparent and high-integrity experience customers want and deserve.
