Title - Senior Communications Specialist

Location - Richmond, VA, 23219(Onsite)

Duration - 3+ months (With possibility of extension)

Overview:

• Minimum 6-10 years corporate communications and/or news media experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of concepts of public relations, news media, news writing and news judgment, their applications and theories supporting them.
• Successful experience in managing complex communications projects under budget and time deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Shows ability to work well with others, to lead a team or to work productively within a team.
• Demonstrated initiative and self direction. · Strong verbal communication skills.
• Superior writing and editing skills.
• Ability to process and respond to information quickly.
• Ability to develop and manage network of contacts for news gathering and dissemination.

High Level Project Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing marketing, communications and change management campaigns in a matrix environment. Some projects will be all inclusive - consisting of a plan and all its elements. Other projects will be less detailed and only require messaging to be delivered via email or on intranet sites.

COVID Remote Policy:

Client is operating in the spirit of three days in the office and two remote.
