Job description

The Talent Acquisition Manager reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the talent acquisition team. This job develops a team approach that is focused on partnering with hiring managers and HR Business Advisory teams to meet the overall recruitment needs of the organization. The Manager is responsible for managing the recruitment process to include use of third party vendor for advertising when appropriate; participating in job fairs; use of social media; and supporting organizational recruitment events. Collaborates with other Human Resources leaders and team members to deliver high quality recruiting practices at all levels of the organization. The Manager also implements equitable employment practices and ensures compliance with VCUHS policies and practices and state/ federal regulations related to employment practices.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or SHRM Certified Professional preferred
Experience REQUIRED:
Five (5) years' experience in human resources with at least two (2) years' experience in recruitment
Minimum of two (2) years' experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Experience PREFERRED:
Six (6) or more years' experience in human resources
Two (2) years' experience in a supervisory or lead role
Experience in process improvement or process redesign strongly preferred
Experience in healthcare human resources strongly preferred
Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field from an accredited program or related professional experience
Education/training PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field from an accredited program
Independent action(s) required:
Responsible for management of the day-to-day activities of the talent acquisition team through direct supervision, coaching and mentoring individuals.
Provides collaborative direction to ensure standardize processes and practices to create optimal recruitment and selection experience for the hiring manager, applicant and others.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): Directs and supervises the work of the talent acquisition team members.
Additional position requirements: Typical work schedule is M-F with occasional evenings or weekends to support recruitment events.
