Seeking an experienced Risk Program Manager.

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area: Springfield, VA

Job Type: Full Time

Contract Duration: 1 year (with 2 additional option years)

Education: Bachelor's Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates.

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience working with TSA (Transportation Security Administration).

Duties:

  • Standardize, align and help formulate the Multimodal and Public Area
  • Capabilities (MPAC) Division Strategy Plan, spend and risk analyses.
  • Review and help formulate strategic responses to internal and external requests from MPAC stakeholders such as TSA and RCA leadership, MPAC staff, Aviation 2 Security Advisory Council (ASAC), Government Accountability Office (GAO), Inspector General (IG), National Security Staff, Congress, the Transportation Systems Sector Research and Development Working Group, Surface Transportation Technology Test Bed and test agencies and security technology manufacturers.
  • Design, coordinate and facilitate MPAC strategic initiatives, industry events, and demonstrations related to testing, piloting, assessing and acquisition of new technologies.
  • Establish and execute a process for assessing critical issues to the MPAC Capability Managers including enhancing division policies, capability strategy, technology roadmaps, and Human System Integration with emerging technologies.
  • Standardize, align and help formulate the Capabilities Assessment and Qualification (CAQ) strategic plans with long-term strategies, charters, technology roadmaps, tools, acquisitions and stakeholder engagement with the goal of improving performance and promoting buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic initiative design, business analysis, and communication support to Public Area Security Infrastructure Protection Branch, enhancing plans and technology schedules, roadmaps, tools, and stakeholder engagement with the goal of improving performance and promoting buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Evaluate long-term planning, design, and capability gaps for air cargo, transportation public areas, insider threat, and other TSA-related security venues.
  • Provide technical advice on enhancements to technology performance against TSA requirements and suitability for the transportation environment including the performance characteristics, device usability, data recording/retention, physical attributes, and other equipment/system requirements.
