job summary:

One of my clients in the Virginia Beach area is looking to add a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to their team! The FP&A will be an integral part of the organization and report directly to the CFO of the company. Healthcare industry experience is a HUGE plus. Quickbooks experience is also preferred.

responsibilities:

- The "eyes and ears" of the organization; central liaison between corporate and operations teams. As such, FP&A will interface with the CFO as well as the CEOs on a daily basis

- Use all available tools and data bases to generate and analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, sales, expenses and capital expenditures

- Assess and evaluate financial performance of organizations with regard to short and long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts

- Utilizes forecasts and variance data to advise management on decisions such as, how to improve performance, minimize risk or capture new opportunities from both within the company and within the external environment

- Assist in identifying, acquiring and implementing systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information

- Monitor performance indicators established by management, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances

- As a key part of the forecasting process, he/she will conduct variance analysis to show executive leadership how the budget and/or rolling forecast compares against actual performance

- Ability to connect senior management's long term "strategic plan" to reality; Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives

- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes

- Ability to develop a rolling forecast, either in parallel with the traditional budget or altogether as a replacement

qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field
• 5 years of FP&A experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Quickbooks experience is a plus
