The Deputy Project Manager (DPM) will assist the Program Manager on the day-to-day operations of all Navy Strategic Systems Program contracts, and will be responsible for ensuring the contracts are being executed per the Statement of Work. The DPM will also ensure clients are happy and satisfied with the work product and teams and to make sure all CDRLs are complete and delivered on time. This person will be the main interface with the client and maintain awareness on deficiencies and opportunities. Finally, this individual will provide input in all corporate matters as needed when asked by the General Manager as well as administrative duties in regards to managing SSP employees.

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with the PM on day to day operations of all Navy Strategic Systems Program contracts.
* Lead and direct technical and administrative project team.
* Execute and monitor project activities.
* Manage changes to scope, cost, and schedule of project work.
* Coordinate priorities and resources between multiple projects.
* Prepare and update status reports.
* Provide updates on customer and corporate issues.
* Participating in scheduled operational meetings with senior management and/or the client.
* Participating in routine meetings with team leads and employees.
* Facilitate sessions to effectively resolve issues, if any.
* Allocate appropriate resources to ensure projects are completed within given time and budget.
* Report status, develop project-related documentation and implement lessons learned.
* Participate in project performance review meetings and discussions.
* Update and maintain production and quality metrics of projects.
* Participate in corporate business development activities.
* Participate in corporate Human Resources activities.
* Participate in corporate proposal activities.
* Participate, review, and/or edit any items that are Ajanta corporate related.
* Manage and approve employee related time entry activities and make adjustments and reclasses as needed.
* Manage and approve employee related expense entry
* Manage and approve employee related leave requests.
* Monitor and provide recommendations on contract funding and burn rates.
* Monitor ongoing SBA requirements as its related to contract split requirements
* Provide input on HR and recruiting related matters
* Provide Over-the-Shoulder ERP Support (OSS) to end users at the client site.
* Perform high level functional support for end users.
* Respond remotely to incidents submitted by end users at the Washington Navy Yard site
* Provide remote support to Navy ERP operations if capacity permits.
* Engage external support operations (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.) as required for problem resolution.
* Provide Navy ERP financial documents and reports to the FIAR team for analysis.
* Assist with the preparation for audit by providing material related reports from Navy ERP.
* Provide Navy ERP training as needed.
* Assess the results of testing and training as needed
* Will provide Over-the-Shoulder support to the client to advise and resolve Navy ERP related issues through analysis and recommendations of corrective actions
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing.
* Three (3) plus years of progressive experience participating in financial management services and related projects
* Real Property, FIAR and Accounting experience preferred
* NAVY ERP or similar program experience preferred
* Previous experience supporting Financial Program Management for the Department of Defense, preferred
* Secret Clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge and experience in DoD/DON entitlement and disbursement processes, systems, policies and practices
* Strong oral/written communication skills
* Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio provide in depth business and technical knowledge and experience in Navy ERP.
* Demonstrate effective communication and decision making skills relative to SSP's financial business processes
