In this role, you will establish and maintain vendor relationships within an assigned geographic or vertical territory and increase company revenue by meeting and exceeding sales goals.
Functions
- Prospect and close new vendor relationships, producing flow-type originations of more than $1MM annually.
- Develop and conduct training programs for new vendors to insure compliance with established processes, policies and procedures.
- Generate leads via phone, networking, face to face interactions and other media presentations to prospects.
- Develop relationships with key associates within UBELF and the Bank in geographic territory to coordinate efforts in growing the business. Key associates include the internal referral channel through Commercial associates.
- Effectively balance prospecting for new vendors and maximizing existing vendor originations.
- Maintain acceptable territory management, sales activity, new business pipeline, and profitability on individual production.
- Establish effective communication and rapport with FinPac Credit Manager and staff to ensure accurate and timely credit administration and transaction adjudication.
- On each program, provides a recap of an appropriate structure to be included in the respective credit recommendations.
- Prepare a detailed evaluation of vendor's credit and ability to service their customer base, and the collateral being offered for financing.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of and complies with FinPac underwriting standards, procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure lease documents are accurately prepared, executed and booked in a timely manner. Work with Leasing Operations to properly account for and manage ongoing risks of all leases.
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.
- Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Equipment Leasing and Financing
- Self-motivated and possess the ability manage a regional territory independently
- Strong analytical, business management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under tight timelines, and high-volume levels in keeping with established service levels established for the position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train and present to small and large audiences.
- Proven ability to organically build vendor relationships and programs
- Must have excellent territory and program management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft software programs Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Proven track record of working effectively in a virtual/remote environment
- Ability to travel to meet with clients, prospects, vendors, attends tradeshows, etc.
