Our client, a leader in the power sports industry, is seeking an experienced Finance Supervisor for a 2-month contract assignment in Battle Ground, WA. This company boasts a wonderful culture and encouraging atmosphere! Hourly rate up to $48! Onsite and local to the area, hours are 9-5PM!


JOB SUMMARY:

Finance Supervisor for multi-business operation in Battle Ground, WA where the company designs, assembles and sells embedded system display gauges and other aftermarket off-road products. The Finance Supervisor is responsible for leading all aspects of finance, accounting and control for the Battle Ground, WA site as well as participating as a member of the site management staff. This role is also responsible for ensuring the integrity of the plant's financial activity and systems, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of plant operations as well as providing support to Engineering, PG&A and Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare budget and forecast financial statements for the plant location and split by Engineering, PG&A and Operations
  • Perform the monthly close process including applicable journal entries and inventory reconciliations.
  • Analysis of monthly actual versus budget and forecast.
  • Responsible for on-going review and audit of financial systems and activities to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Preparation, review and approval of all capital project activity in the location including ROI and IRR analysis as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the quarterly excess and obsolete review and financial integrity of the process.
  • Work closely with site personnel, understanding the various aspects of the operation and the impact change has on financial performance.
  • Work closely with Engineering, PG&A, and Operations Finance leaders across the company to align Battle Ground's finance objectives
  • Is active participant on the site management staff supporting day-to-day operations and activities as well as providing support & analysis for long-term strategic company decisions and the various impacts on Engineering, Operations, and PG&A.
  • Manage direct reports and provide a positive working environment including coaching and development.
  • Coordinate documentation and review of processes for Sarbanes/Oxley section 404 requirements.
  • Train management and other decision makers on plant financial statements and the impacts decisions have on financial performance.
  • Maintain and document all processes and procedures.
  • Support Various projects as assigned.


SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is required, an MBA is preferred.
  • A high level of knowledge of PC applications and mainframe systems is required.
  • 5-10 years' experience in finance/accounting is required, cost accounting experience a plus.
  • Experience with Infor XA, Mapics, Dynamics AX, OneStream planning a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply creative problem-solving skills to operational improvement initiatives
  • Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment required.
