Robert Half is looking for a Business Systems Analyst is to support the Finance team for our Eastside client. This position will provide both business and technical analysis whiles performing project management responsibilities. This person will be responsible for improving processes, methodologies, interfaces, and user experiences. The individual in this role will work closely with IT/third party consultants, internal leadership and individual contributors across the accounting team. RESPONSIBILITIES · Analyze, design, build, test and implement the business system solutions for finance and accounting · Examine data and systems, gather requirements, and design, build, test and implement business transaction processing, accounting systems and solutions · Create functional solution design documents for business requirements in the areas of finance and accounting to configure and develop solutions in accounting supported applications. · Lead and collaborate with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders, across different departments and functions (including Finance, IT, Operations, etc.) to ensure projects are delivered accurately and timely · Deliver functional requirements for UI design and reporting · Create and maintain user stories for software enhancements and integrations · Assist in the ongoing administration of the financial systems including configuration of user roles and permissions, reporting changes and other administration duties · Become the product expert for finance-managed technology solutions · Responsible for the analysis of features being released in 3rd party applications and providing recommendation on upgrade paths · Prepare and review documentation for current processes, and assumptions for accounting and finance systems and continuously identify gaps and opportunities for automation projects that will streamline workflows and processes within accounting · Assist in identifying training requirements and develop training and communications associated with feature releases · Develop use cases for testing, create test scripts based on functional requirements in the areas of finance and accounting Requirements QUALIFICATIONS · 3+ years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst or relevant product team role · 1+ years of experience working with a financial application · Experience working with vendors and 3rd party solutions · Strong planning and organization skills, project management certification a plus · Exceptional oral and written communication skills on complex technical issues to a broad, diverse audience · Working knowledge of financial accounting processes (invoicing, inventory, expense entry, A/R, A/P, GL, cash, fixed assets, etc.) · Demonstrated experience in developing the implementation of technical solutions in cooperation with business customers · Experience re-engineering workflow and data management processes to maximize efficiency · Works well in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment · Strong diplomacy and conflict resolution skills · Eagerness to improve processes and contribute to the growth of a dynamic company · Creative and thinks outside the box · Maintains detail oriented composure at all times, with an efficient and positive attitude · Experience working in an Agile environment · Ability to work on several projects at the same time, and adjust priorities quickly · Works well within a team environment and individually · Maintains efficient and positive attitude · Self-starter
