Job description

Location: Bellevue, WA # BS MS or equivalent degree in Electrica l or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. # Minimum 7 years of experience. # Familiar with Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and metal plastic fabrication processes. # Understand the environments and requirements for both New Product Introduc tion (NPI) and volume manufacturing. # Experience with power electronics and utility products a plus. # Experience with Arena PLM a plus. (Aras OnePDM) # Excellent oral and written communication skills. # Excellent project management skills. # Ex cellent organizational, data collection and presentation skills. # Ability to work in a fast-paced professional start up environment. # Results & execution driven: consistently delivers on commitments & stretch goals..
# Support Design Engineering in identification and qualification of electrical and mechanical components.
# Initiate and lead the efforts to identify and qualify second sources for material availability, cost reduction and reliability improvement purposes. # Develop and execute component evaluation, acceptance and qualification test plans. # Identify critical and high risk components in products. Develop and execute reliability test plans for these components. # Conduct regular audits for key component suppliers. # Communicate to component manufacturers regarding component failures. Drive component failure analysis and corrective actions to closure. # Review, analyze and optimize Bills of Materials (BOM#s) down to manufacturer part level. # Ensure components are compliant to necessary environmental and safety standards, e.g. RoHS, REACH, UL, CE, CSA, Conflict Minerals, etc. # Maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL). Issue Engineering Change Orders (ECO#s), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCO#s) and Deviations. # Review and address Product Change Notices (PCN#s) from component manufacturers. # Track component lifecycles. Proactively identify and drive solutions to resolve End-of-life (EOL) and obsolete situation s and minimize impacts. # Focal point for Contract Manufacturing for all technical component issues. # Understand component technology roadmaps trends and present them to Design Engineering
