Requisition Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining fast and compliant U.S., Canada, and Mexico import operations for all PACCAR divisions by working with suppliers, production plants, warehouses, dealers, carriers and customs brokers. Maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistant application of procedures with third party service providers. Monitor Corporate Customs help desk email box to address questions and resolve clearance issues in a timely manner. Act as a backup for export shipment processing and support other department needs as required.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manage U.S., Canada and Mexico import brokerage operations for all PACCAR divisions.
  • Work with customs brokers to ensure KPIs are being met and drive improvements.
  • Obtain Partnering Government Agency information when required for clearance including FDA, EPA & DOT.
  • Maintain ADD and CVD case numbers and provide to customs broker.
  • Maintain international import compliance procedures and broker standard operating procedures.
  • Resolve shipment delays and address questions by monitoring the Corporate Customs email box and quickly responding to clearance issues.
  • Support PACCAR Customs Department transition to SAP Global Trade System.
  • Act as a backup to support export shipment processing for PACCAR Global Sales and other PACCAR divisions.
  • Support other Customs Department and Logistics initiatives as needed.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. entry process
  • Knowledge of PGA requirements on U.S. entries
  • Ability to classify U.S. and Canadian HTS numbers
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally
  • Motivated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service based environment

Education and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3-5 years experience in Trade Compliance desired
  • Experience with SAP GTS desired
  • Licensed U.S. Customs Broker desired
