Job Description Overview The Opportunity:The Portfolio Accounting (PA) Analyst is a functional leader for the Portfolio Accounting group, analyzing and improving current work processes and providing guidance to entry-level employees. Reporting to the Portfolio Accounting Manager, you will establish relationships with new custodians, while working with Fisher Investment's Technology group to enhance technology solutions and working with other employees to ensure accounts are reconciled against custodian records.The Day-to-Day:Review current team processes and make recommendations for improvements. Coordinate revisions with team membersOversee account reconciliation for multiple departmentsEnsure compliance with SEC and department guidelinesEstablish custodian connectivity for new accounts and custodiansBe the team liaison for firm wide enterprise projectsConduct workflow analysis and documentation, prepare recommendations and facilitate implementation of service quality and efficiency enhancements to business processes including implementation of new systemsCoordinate recommended process enhancements to ensure successful implementationIdentify possible system and process enhancements, coordinate with the appropriate departments for implementationYour Qualifications:3+ years experience in back/middle office within the finance industry; portfolio accounting, book of record maintenance, portfolio reconciliation, security master maintenance, corporate action processing, trade reconciliation or similarKnowledge of primary asset types and corporate actionsMicrosoft Office Suite and MS Access; experience with SQL and VBAAbility to analyze current processes to enhance efficiencyU.S. candidates must be fully vaccinated as defined by the medical community against COVID-19 and provide proof of such vaccination by date of hireWhy Fisher Investments:At Fisher Investments, we work for a bigger purpose: bettering the investment universe.
