Boeing, Defense, Space and Security is seeking an Experienced Business Development Representative (level 4) in Everett, WA, who will be responsible for shaping the market and capturing new business within the Boeing Defense Commercial Derivative Aircraft division with a focus on the United States Air Force's (USAF) KC-Y Bridge Tanker campaign. As a member of the KC-Y Business Development team, you will be accountable for leading sales and campaign activities for commercial derivative aircraft as directed by the Capture Team Leader (CTL) in accordance with the Boeing processes.
The KC-Y Business Development Representative reports to the Manager, KC-Y Capture Team Leader. On a day-to-day basis, will generate analysis, prepare documents and presentations in direct support of KC-Y sales efforts and future tanker capture activity. Manages and assists in developing and executing KC-Y campaign strategies. Analyzes the market and competition in order to develop communication plans, engagements with senior Department of Defense leadership, and third party advocacy. Represents the organizational unit as an internal and external contact for executing the capture strategy and operations. Serves as a customer facing focal for the USAF KC-Y program at conferences and symposium. Leverages the Boeing enterprise of products, services, processes and operations to support customer requirements, gain competitive advantage and foster business growth. Aids in the development and execution of annual New Business Funds and other budget requirements, recommendations and budget execution. Has the ability to accomplish and drive results through team effects.
Position Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making by senior leaders or executives concerning matters of significance to the company.
- Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
- Creates, maintains and advances customer relationships.
- Directly participates in establishing and administering multiple projects.
- Ensures products, budgets, schedules and performance standards are executed in a timely, effective manner.
- Develops in-depth knowledge of customer business, culture, requirements and related topics to gain competitive advantage.
- Executes resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of campaign strategies and interfaces with internal organization partners.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports in order to advance sales campaign goals.
- Development of marketing and campaign win strategies.
- Identify business opportunities and promote the value of Boeing portfolio and partnership.
- Initiate and advance customer relationships to be accepted as a trusted business partner by the customer.
- Establish, maintain, and expand network to proactively identify and address customer needs while keeping lines of communication open.
- Facilitate direct interface with the customer decision makers to shape the market and optimize the business cases for the KC-Y with supporting services.
- Consult and influence decisions of Boeing senior level executives regarding business goals and objectives.
- Obtain and leverage detailed understanding of the customers' processes, procedures, techniques, organizations and culture.
- Execute review processes with management by balancing customer expectations and Boeing resources.
This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Everett , WA.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented
- Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Advanced degree in a technical or business/economics domain
- Ability to navigate analytic uncertainty while maintaining objectivity and transparency
- Familiarity with BDS products and competitive landscape
- Experience with DoD Source Selection and/or Foreign Military Sales/Direct Commercial Sales
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop executive-level briefings
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD +4 years' related work experience, Master +7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
