Our Communications Technician-Toll work both inside and outside and are responsible for the cable maintenance of the AT&T facilities.




What you'll do as an AT&T Communications Technician-Toll:



  • Work with various testing equipment, measuring devices, meters and tools in adjusting, wiring, repairing and maintaining various equipment and systems.

  • Maintain rectifiers, batteries and related power equipment.

  • Responsible for fiber cable locating.

  • Drive a company vehicle.

  • Handle emergency call-outs at all times.

  • Respond to all customer trouble calls and inquires.

  • Work in confined spaces including manholes and trenches.

  • Work on ladders, platforms and other aerial devices.

  • Work outside in all weather conditions.

In addition to STRONG communication and technical skills, our Communications Technician-Toll must have the following:
•Valid state driver's license
•Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
•Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and emergency callouts
•AT&T will consider for employment qualified applicants in a manner consistent with the requirements of federal, state and local laws
•Ability to perceive differences in wire and cable colors
•Ability to complete on-the-job and/or classroom training as required

REQUIRED TESTS:
Technical Mechanical Test - (TMT- III)

MAY BE REQUIRED TESTS:
Technical Knowledge Test II (TKT II)
