SUMMARY

To effectively plan, organize, lead and control the installation division of the Graebel Van Lines branch location. Develops effective service mechanisms and provides departmental leadership to ensure customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for hiring and development of contractors in order to ensure that the service mechanisms will be in place to support the sales efforts in the areas. Effectively manages employees reporting directly/indirectly to the position, providing leadership, motivation, development and discipline in order to promote quality performance and achievement of financial and quality objectives. Oversees office and industrial installations by on-site supervision or reviewing with operations and sales workforce to ensure that installs are executed as planned. Conducts pre-installation through with end users and department heads to ensure total understanding of what is expected, how the plan will unfold and who is accountable. Provide space planning for clients, while working closely with sales satff on installation projects. Provide space planning to include detailed drawings and Auto CAD. Provide quotes for sales staf on installation projects; Ensures that all installation jobs are properly dispatched with appropriate human and equipment resources allocated to ensure the highest level of quality. Ensures no loss to customers due to service failures or lack of quality; Ensures that CSO's are filled out in a complete and timely manner; and ensure the crews arrive on time and in uniform per Graebel specifications. Performs walkthroughs at customer location to provide detail scope of work; Walks through the sequence of the installation with the customer in order to have the customer fully understand the installation; Accurately identifies required move equipment and human resources. Ensures all paperwork and documentation is processed in a timely manner ensuring the accounting department performs its function in an accurate and timely manner. Ensures change orders are properly completed and the customer/sales person is kept informed of any changes to the scope and what the amount of the change will be to specific customer. Performs other related essential duties as assigned or requested.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree with Emphasis in Business Administration or Operations Management Minimum of 3 years of moving & storage/van line experience in an operational area. Preference given to supervisory experience. Strong Communication, Interpersonal and Organizational Skills Ability to read, analyze, interpret and apply information Ability to provide guidance and training to production & management staff.
