WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are seeking outstanding candidates with experience in topics key to our fast-growing Defense & Security sector and larger Public Sector Practice Area. As a Senior Knowledge Analyst (SKA) on the Knowledge Team's Client Focus (CF) Track you will primarily focus on supporting our consulting teams through in-depth client engagement with U.S. Federal Government clients, providing expertise and insights on Defense & Security-related topics including Artificial Intelligence, Digital Innovation, Cybersecurity, Acquisition/Procurement, Sustainment/Readiness, Space, and Organizational Transformation.
You will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data, and related expertise, etc.). You will support client cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. While contributing to client cases, workshops, and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to build understanding of client requirements and design / develop solutions.
You will dedicate approximately 60% of your time to directly supporting client work, with your remaining time spent making us the thought leaders in the industry by contributing research, analysis, and insights to intellectual property in conjunction with our Defense & Security business leaders.

• Bringing a curious and creative mindset; you are flexible, open to new things, and able to propose innovative ideas.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) • 3-6 years of relevant consulting or U.S. Federal government experience in the defense and security field; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred. Relevant experience includes roles within U.S. government agencies working on a variety of topics, including but not limited to: artificial intelligence, space, acquisition/procurement/operations, organizational transformation, cybersecurity, sustainment/readiness, technology/innovation; or as a consultant or advisor to the U.S. Federal Government advising on the aforementioned topics.
• In lieu of consulting experience, 3-6 years minimum industry experience required; 6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelors' degree in related fields of study (e.g. Economics, Finance, Accounting, Public Policy, International Affairs, History, Journalism, Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, Cyber, National Security Studies), with demonstrated high academic achievement (advanced degree preferred).
• Fluency in English.
• A strong understanding of Defense and National Security institutions within the U.S. Federal Government.
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, (e.g. experience briefing senior leaders, publications of thought-leadership in the area, etc.).
• US citizenship required and ability to obtain a security clearance (active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility preferred but not required)
YOU'LL WORK WITH Day-to-day you will work closely with other members of BCG FED, a team of consultants, experts and senior advisors working with our U.S. Federal Government clients. At most times during the year you will be part of one or two case teams delivering projects for our clients, often based on site with the team. As a Senior Knowledge Analyst (SKA) you will collaborate with a wide range of colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. You will also maintain a close working relationship with our Global Leader for Defense & Security and larger Defense & Security team, supporting them on IP and thought-leadership development.
You will formally be a part of our Global Knowledge Team and report to the Defense & Security Team Lead and Public Sector's Knowledge Business Director.
