Job Description Title: Operational Controller - Denali Water Solutions, (formerly Swanson Bark)
Reports to: Co-Presidents, Denali Water Solutions, (formerly Swanson Bark)
Paygrade: Salary
Position type and expected hours of work: This is a full-time position. The hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Evening, night and weekend work will be required at times if/when job duties demand.
Summary: This position will provide financial leadership over Swanson financial information and finance staff, working to provide streamlined accounting functions and operations, formulating sound financial strategies while implementing proper controls and maintaining positive revenue and financial growth.
The Operational Controller will help the company meet its financial and operational goals through improved expert management of financial operations at the Swanson location and fostering communication and integration of the Swanson finance team with the broader Denali finance department
Essential Functions:
* Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes to keep leadership abreast of financial
* Monitoring internal controls and maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, budgets and actual
* Overseeing and preparing income statements, ledgers, and ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory
* Participate in budgeting and planning processes; administer and review product costing
* Manage financial
* Coordinate audit
* Assist management with important financial decisions
* Supervise employees within Accounting Department and prioritize Department workload as needed
* Lead day to day financial operations including invoice review and approval, handling petty cash, receiving, reviewing, and routing incoming mail
* Review and track inventory, entering inventory adjustments as needed
* Work effectively with other department leaders to educate on financial and accounting procedures as well as support other departments operations
Competencies and Experience:

* Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals

* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Software (especially Excel).
* Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle NetSuite) in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred education and experience: Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Proven experience in finance management is required.
Work environment: Position requires the employee to work in an environment similar to a typical business office.
Physical demands: The position requires ascending and descending stairs daily; sitting in a stationary position; typing and viewing a computer; ability to operate a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine or a printer. Other less frequent physical demands include bending and lifting.
Travel: Some travel may be required from time to time.
