We are looking to add two (2) new team members to our Sales & Distribution team. Our new team members will share our customer service mindset and will provide an excellent customer experience for all our patrons who visit our RideStore.

Essential Duties:
Responsible for over-the-counter retail, telephone, online and mail order sales of electronic fare media, transit passes, tickets and permits. Processes requests for refunds. Maintains sales logs, files and inventory records. Prepares daily cash sales reports and reconciles cash drawer. Receives, tracks and processes for disposition lost and found articles; responds to customer inquiries regarding lost items.

Provides service to customers calling the ORCA regional call center including product sales, troubleshooting, and general information for Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro, Kitsap Transit, Pierce Transit, Sound Transit, and Washington State Ferries.

Sets up distribution route. Determines placement of materials within outlet. Determines outlet allocation and monitors usage. Assists in design of kiosks and racks. Responsible for distributing, in person or by mail, consumer information and marketing materials to distribution outlets (internal and external) as assigned by lead or supervisor.

Stocks and warehouses consumer information, and marketing materials, ensuring proper storage and security. Maintains and records weekly inventory of stock in order to ensure adequate stock for the corporation and distribution outlets. Advises lead or supervisor of stock requirements.

Provides friendly, accurate, detailed and timely responses to telephone inquiries from the general public for route and schedule information, fares, bus stop locations, transfer points and service or other changes as a result of construction, weather conditions or community events for Community Transit, Everett Transit, Pierce Transit, King County Metro, and Sound Transit. Provides information about Community Transit's operational policy, procedures and general transit practices. Responds to customer requests for information on fares, schedules, agency operations, policies and procedures and other transit services. Diffuses angry customer situations. Assists in customer complaint follow-ups, lost and found inquiries, and preparing customer mailings. Connects customers to the appropriate departments within the corporation in accordance with office policy and procedure.

Enters and retrieves data utilizing a personal computer to record and monitor customer comments and responses for customer complaints, telephone system reports, departmental monthly reports, and other reports as required. Quickly and accurately documents customer information from the general public regarding complaints, service requests, commendations, surveys and general transit inquiries.

Assists Sales and Distribution Lead and Assistant Manager with clerical and administrative tasks.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications

Two years of customer service experience.

Must have and maintain a valid Washington State driver's license and good driving record.

Willing and able to fill work shifts with very short notice, including weekdays, nights, weekends and holidays. Available to work overtime if needed.

Stable work history.

Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Community Transit service areas, policies and procedures regarding transit fares, transfers, organization and pass/ticket/permit sales.

Inventory and record keeping techniques and principles.

Public transit.

Automatic Call Distribution System, basic call management.

Qualification to fulfill the full range of this position's duties requires the following skills, which may be gained or further developed after entering the job:

Operating a cash register, point of sales PC, calculator and other office machines.

Computer data entry and retrieval and database management techniques within a Windows environment (including Word and Excel.)

Records maintenance and transaction recording.

Reading maps, schedules and small print materials.
