Job title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Reports to: Corporate Human Resources Director
Job purpose:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the overall Human Resources goals by researching, developing, and implementing effective strategies to attract and retain a diverse pool of qualified talent for the organization. This position is responsible for services in all company locations across the Untied States and in Canada.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process from requisition management to new hire orientation.
• Recruits for technical, production, management, and executive position.
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on role, industry standard, and organizational needs.
• Participates in job fairs, recruitment events and other outside opportunities to promote employment opportunities.
• Collaborates with primary and secondary schools, technical schools, colleges, and universities to participate in activities and events to promote employment opportunities.
• Develops programs to create and promote the company as an employer of choice and fill the hiring gaps within the community. Works collaboratively when possible with other employers and/or educational institutions.
• Works with external recruiters to fill needs when all internal processes have been exhausted when approved and kept to a minimum.
• Develops an annual talent acquisition plan including advertising, social media usage, event participation, and activities aimed at growing our talent pool.
• Provides analytics related to recruitment on an ongoing basis as a point of evaluation of our processes and to create targeting efforts in trend areas.
• Ensures a diverse and inclusive hiring process is established by providing tools and resources for use during the process. Trains supervisors, managers, and others involved in the interview process on acceptable practices.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and company policies.
• Presents a positive and professional image of Volm Companies at all times.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of human resources principles normally acquired by the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or Communication, or an equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to competently perform the job duties.
• Human Resources certification highly desired.
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment necessary.
• Previous experience in human resources and/or recruitment desired.
• Familiarity with common advertising strategies including social media, radio, billboard, newspaper, and internet job boards desired.
• Strong organizational skills necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics required.
• Must be detail oriented in order to ensure all steps in the hiring process are properly followed.
• Ability to interact with individuals throughout all levels of the organization, candidates, and other interested parties.
• Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 and prior use of an Applicant Tracking System or Human Resources Information System highly desired.
Working conditions:
• Frequent working in an office setting. Extensive time spent on the telephone.
• Travel to event or job fair locations up to 15%. May be required to travel to other Volm locations.

• Occasional walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, handling, grasping, reaching, and eye/hand coordination
