Providence is calling a Communications Manager, Information Services/Real Estate Strategy & Operations to one of our locations in Renton, Seattle, or Redmond.
We are seeking for a Communication Manager, IS & RESO to support internal communications supporting the combined Information Services and Real Estate Strategy & Operations (IS & RESO) organization under EVP/CIO BJ Moore. This role will drive communications planning, calendaring and delivery of written newsletter and web content, design and produce SharePoint properties/web-based communication, and drive copy writing/copy editing and visual design support of print and e-newsletter communication, web copy, meetings, and occasional video or multimedia projects. Role functions as a highly-matrixed, relationship-focused strategic business partner and communications and change management consultant within the IS & RESO division, working across executive and technical teams, while producing high-quality content. Will also function as a liaison with the enterprise's organizational/caregiver-focused system communications functions, ensuring strong alignment of both message, priorities, and best practices.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
- Supports strategy, planning and execution for communication plans and programs, major organizational campaigns and initiatives related to divisional strategies, team initiatives, executive communications, and change management. This includes effectively synthesizing complex and technical communications streams into structured plans, and clear/concise messaging and frameworks.
- Proven ability to work independently writing, creating and implementing high-quality communication plans, messaging and copy that meets Providence standards and AP or other style guide formats as needed.
- Provide program management of IS & RESO communications peer committee group, driving cadence of meetings, setting agenda, collecting feedback and required actions, and optimizing the meeting format and mechanisms to drive organization-wide alignment on communications priorities, best practices, and help create a "center of excellence" for communication with peers and the tools to support.
- Support and enhance the quality of all communication tools and channels to ensure communication is delivered consistently and proactively to all caregivers. This includes reporting on and providing analysis on available SharePoint, news publishing, and other platforms and tracking participation/readership metrics to recommend adjustments in strategy, as well being able to advance and implement tools for increased insights around communications effectiveness.
- Support measurable improvements in caregiver engagement with communications, based on established and emerging standards/methods. Ensure the organizational voice and narrative, and Mission, Vision, and Values of Providence, IS & RESO EVP/CIO strategic principles, annual strategic priorities, and growing the sense of divisional culture across two formerly separate teams.
- Analyzes and researches communications audiences, needs/drivers, and channels to determine actionable insights, appropriate targeting, and how we can effectively communicate with various caregiver groups/demographics, use communications to break down functional silos and operational barriers, and be sensitive to diversity of workforce.
- Work closely with Mission integration and Caregiver Experience Committee to ensure communications are reflective of our heritage, identity, Mission, Vision, and Values, as well as our evolving Caregiver.
- Provide proactive and concerted communications traffic management and counsel, flagging potential conflicting information, competing priorities, or areas of clarification by quickly ramping up on IS & RESO.
- Work closely with marketing and communication leadership at the system and regional level to coordinate messaging and positioning of IS & RESO initiatives across system-wide caregiver audiences, as well as occasional partnership on external/media-related requests.
- Perform to budget, strategic and sustainability goals.
- Effectively interacts with and influences tactical communications and strategic outcomes, both upward to senior leadership and across with peer groups.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in communication, public relations, marketing, business administration or related field
- 5 years demonstrated management experience in broad-based and successful communication programs
- Demonstrated written communication skills
- Develops and delivers effective presentations
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Master's Degree
- Communication experience in technology, business operations, or health care
- Ability to work with technology and business professionals to synthesize highly technical content into layperson's terminology and user-friendly content
- Ability to design attractive presentation and graphic content
