General Summary:

The evening maintenance technician is responsible for event management, light buildings and grounds maintenance and some traffic duty. The position requires general maintenance knowledge and skills as well as some knowledge of event management. It also requires good communication skills and some knowledge of building cleaning procedures for the general oversight of the cleaning crew (outsourced). The ability to direct traffic for a main crosswalk at the end of the school day.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform light building and grounds maintenance (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, paint, and drywall)

• Must be able to use basic grounds maintenance equipment such as a weed eater or blower

• Oversees the outsourced cleaning crew to ensure proper nightly cleaning

• Provide nightly event oversight on campus including set-up, break down and any requests

• Perform campus crosswalk supervision during end of school day dismissal

• Inspects all first aid kits and reports all deficiencies

• Responds to nightly emergency maintenance requests as needed.

• Individual also needs to be proficient Microsoft office products

Reporting Relationship:

Reports to the Director of Facilities Supervises cleaning vendor, no staff.

Compensation:

Compensation will be within a range of $23 to $25 per hour based on experience.

. Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma required. Advanced degree is a plus

• Minimum five years' experience in a facilities related trade or field or Minimum three years of commercial or residential grounds management experience. Formal training in any field is a plus

• Individual must possess a valid driver's license.

• Willing to work outside in inclement weather.

• Must also be able to operate commercial tractor and misc. 4 wheels drive maintenance vehicles.
