Job description
Passionate about the video game industry?! We are seeking a Development Specialist with Power BI experience required, to support our client in Redmond, WA in their Game Testing Department. Candidates must be local and able to commute to work onsite in Redmond.
The Development Specialist will create and facilitate upskilling training classes and material for department staff to use in training.
Job Duties:
• Perform all job responsibilities with strict adherence to departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Actively engage in open communication, creative thinking, and teamwork when completing daily tasks.
• Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to design and maintain effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
• Manage daily tasks in accordance with team priority.
• Maintain current understanding of trends and research in the training and development industry.
• Coordinate and deliver various forms of training for department staff, both in-person and virtually.
• Leverage multiple methods (i.e. surveys, interviews, focus groups, communication with department staff, etc.) to gather data on training and development programs.
• Assist with associate performance assessments and tasks, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Leadership to meet departmental & business needs.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Experience with PowerBI for data visualization
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and to develop and maintain strong business partner relationships.
• Leading Without Authority and instead building relationships.
• Excellent skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Robust knowledge and understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette.
• Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal communication, and presentation/facilitation.
• Detail-oriented with solid decision-making abilities.
• Two years of related experience creating and facilitating training programs.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas, or willingness to learn:
• Ad-hoc/Exploratory Testing
• Nintendo Platform Guidelines Testing
• Text-based Testing Leadership
• Software Project Leadership
Education/Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Psychology, and/or equivalent experience.
• Passport may be needed.
Schedule: Standard core hours (Monday-Friday)
Contract: 11 months (required two month break and potential for renewal C2C)
